Bikes, ladies and the Apple Store.

lemmingsI didn't ride on the weekend, there just wasn't the need for it. I did ride this morning however, into work, and I have planned my ride to the Hyatt tomorrow morning for training. Hopefully it won't be scary and people won't yell at me. I don't like being yelled at. Obviously, I am not going to ride on the road on Adelaide Tce, it looks like it would be a heart stopping venture. My mother has enough heart attacks per week thinking about how "her poor short daughter" is riding on roads. I don't really want to be responsible for her fear induced death... or my own.
Gianni sent me some pictures of his sweet bike which I will upload later along with a bunch of bikes that he has photographed on the street up that end of the city. Some of them are pretty sweet, and apparently found around or outside the Apple store. Damn Apple and damn Steve Jobs, it's taking over the world. I like the black one a lot but I think the others have merit. It's interesting that there are so many cropping up around the place, especially down that end.
This whole star ladies pin up thing is becoming a learning experience for me! I mean, I had no idea that Eliza Dushku was a triathlon rider in her spare time. Or that she was a rock climber. I guessed she'd ride motor bikes though. I know the point of this is style and not lycra but there is an image that I have found of her in full lycra and I'm telling you, the woman is a one in a billion at pulling it off. It's out of control. Like I don't even think I can upload it here because it might break the internet. I don't even think it's riding lycra, it's probably swimming lycra. At any rate, rather than upload that, I'll upload a less glam one of her after doing the race mainly because I think it's important that generally she IS so stylish. You can then google image search her if you'd like to understand my meaning.
So yeah, it's been cool hunting down pictures of awesome girls who ride bikes... but it does mean I also discovered ones of Miley Cycrus riding a bike... those were less inspiring.
