I know, I know, I have been a bad person.
Nov. 11th, 2010 10:53 amI know I haven't posted on here for a long while, I am a bad person. I am also a person who has been sick with the dreaded teeth of doom and wisdom and therefore didn't have much to post about since there was very little in the way of riding going on. I don't even know where I was at with my updates... something about goggles and bugs and pollen?
Well I am not sure if I said this before but my bloomers arrived and they are AMAZING. I think Mark thinks I love them more than I love him. They are comfy and lovely and confidence in a skirt. I also recently received my cape in the mail and it is also way too cool for words. I haven't worn it out on my bike yet due to pain and heat but it'll happen soon, the weather right now is rainy and cold... but it's the rain part that is the problem because I am not riding in the rain.
Mark went for a ride this morning, and it rained, and he was sandy and wet and that's not how I would like to be. I made things better for him by making him pancakes.
I also received my little mountain bike and clock necklace and it is really cool. I love wearing it.
In more important and clearly relevant bicycle news, The Walking Dead has started which is leading to group viewings of zombies, group discussions about zombies, zombie thoughts creeping into everyday life, persistent and important zombie battling dreams and of course, lists of things that you would need in a zombie outbreak. As mobility is a key issue, I feel that having a bike would be a pretty useful thing in a zombie apocalypse. No fuel other than your own, little chance of breaking down. Good for quick nips around the place and scouting safe zones. This is important stuff people!
In unrelated non-bicycle news, I have been watching Stargate Universe through my haze of pain and I still don't love it the way I love real Stargate and Stargate Atlantis, but I think it's getting slightly better and I think it's trying to fill my Stargate shaped hole that gapes in my heart. I love Rush. And I miss Daniel Jackson. I listened to an audio book yesterday and his voice made me excited and sad at the same time. You don't ride bicycles in space.
Finally, I think Maia would like to see a picture of the goggles that are being sent my way. I can't wait, pollen and flies and bugs will no longer get in my eyes!!!
Started a new Tumblr today in aid of random things and to get some experience in using the platform. Especially because lastfridayinperth (Robyn and I's Space Activation project) is now on Tumblr. Please check them out if you like and PLEASE spread the word especially if you are in Perth. Pages need work but they are a start. Check back.

I have to say, at this stage I am finding it really difficult to use, but we'll see how we go.
